Template categories and approval
Every business-initiated WhatsApp message uses a template that Meta has approved. Meta assigns each template one of three categories, and the category sets the price.
Promotions, offers, product announcements and re-engagement messages.
Updates on an order, account or transaction the user has started: confirmations, delivery updates, alerts.
One-time passcodes for sign-in, sign-up or account recovery, in Meta's fixed authentication format.
- Each template is submitted to Meta for review before it can be sent; BroadNet submits it for you.
- Meta can move a template to another category when its content does not match the one chosen, and that category's rate then applies.
- Collect the user's opt-in to WhatsApp messages from your business before you send any template.
- Inside the 24-hour customer service window you can reply with free-form messages; outside it, only approved templates can be sent.
Above 1M / month, pricing becomes a conversation.
