About BroadNet: messaging infrastructure since 2003
BroadNet is an A2P messaging and telecom-security provider: SMS, OTP, WhatsApp (official Meta BSP), RCS and voice to 200+ countries for enterprises, and firewalls for the mobile operators that carry the traffic.
BroadNet was founded in Beirut, Lebanon in 2003, is headquartered in Dubai, and has spent every year since inside the same business: moving messages across mobile networks for the operators that own them and the enterprises that depend on them. Fifteen offices. Fifteen countries. One thesis, held for two decades.
Critical messages delivered. Operator networks protected.
Operator-direct messaging and telecom security, built in MENA since 2003.
Founded in Beirut, Lebanon in 2003 and headquartered in Dubai, BroadNet delivers critical enterprise messages (OTPs, alerts and conversations) to 200+ countries, direct to the operator in 86 over 1,000+ operator connections, and deploys SMS and signaling firewalls, SIM-box detection and A2P monetization inside mobile operator networks.
We made one bet.
We made it in 2003.
We are still making it.
When BroadNet was founded, the messaging industry in MENA barely had a name. There were operators with SMSCs, there were enterprises that needed to reach subscribers, and there was no serious infrastructure between them. We built that infrastructure — one operator interconnect, one bank customer, one bind at a time.
Twenty-three years later, the work is unrecognizably larger and completely the same. The channels are different: SMS now travels alongside WhatsApp, RCS, voice, and authentication. The clients are different: 60,000+ enterprises, from neighborhood banks to Google, Meta, and Uber. The geography is different: fifteen offices, fifteen countries, support from New Jersey to Perth.
But the bet has not changed. Operators trust vendors who understand the wire. Enterprises trust vendors who can deliver, audit, and explain. BroadNet has spent two decades being one of the very few vendors that does both — and that is, still, the entire company.
“We learned A2P from a Friday-night SMSC outage in 2007. That is why a P1 incident on your traffic gets an engineer’s response within 15 minutes, day or night.”
Rabih Al Zubaidi, Founder & CEO
Our story, in motion.
Two short films — the BroadNet brand pulse, and the company history from our first office to a pan-MENA messaging network.
A short history of the wire.
Twenty-three years, compressed. The dates that mattered.
The founder enters messaging.
Rabih Al Zubaidi joins the SMS industry at its earliest commercial moment — four years before BroadNet exists, building the relationships that will become the company.
BroadNet Technologies Sarl is founded in Beirut, Lebanon.
A small team, a single SMSC, and a bet that the Gulf operators would need a serious A2P partner long before the rest of the world caught up.
First million-message-per-day customer.
Government and banking traffic across the GCC. The platform crosses the threshold from product to infrastructure.
Direct interconnects across MENA.
Direct binds with Etisalat, du, STC, Mobily, Zain, and Orange. The operator side of the business becomes a peer to the enterprise side.
GSMA Associate Membership.
Formal alignment with IR.71, IR.81, IR.82. BroadNet begins contributing to A2P monetization and SS7 signaling-security working groups.
ISO 27001, 9001, 22301.
Information security, quality, and business continuity — independently audited. Carrier-grade trust, certified.
300M+ messages a day.
WhatsApp, RCS, voice, and OTP join SMS on the same multi-channel API. 1,000+ direct operator connections live.
BroadNet.AI launches.
AI agents, voice intelligence, and graph ML built on the same network the messaging business runs on. Triposim brings consumer eSIM to the group.
Twenty-three years in.
Fifteen offices, fifteen countries, 60,000+ enterprise customers, 1,000+ operator binds. Still founder-active. Still telecom-native.
The infrastructure arc.
Beirut 2003 → Dubai today.
The editorial timeline above is the story. This is the wire. Seven checkpoints in the operator-side build-out — including our 200M+ lifetime SIM deployments and the 1,000+ direct operator links live today.
Founded in Beirut.
BroadNet Technologies Sarl, founded in Beirut, Lebanon and today headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, focuses on MENA messaging infrastructure — SMSC, SMPP, and operator-facing A2P from day one.
First direct operator binds in MENA.
The first direct SMPP and SS7 interconnects with MENA mobile network operators go live — replacing third-party transit and giving BroadNet carrier-grade reach across the Gulf and the Levant.
SS7 and SMS Firewall deployed inside operator networks.
BroadNet's signaling firewall and SMS firewall move inside MNO core networks — inspecting MAP/CAP/SCCP, classifying A2P vs P2P, and giving operators the visibility to monetize what was previously grey.
First eSIM VSM platform launches.
Building on twenty years of SIM and OTA heritage from the founding team, BroadNet ships its first Virtual Subscription Management platform — SM-DP+, SM-DS, and the eUICC lifecycle, on-prem or managed.
Local presence across the Middle East and North Africa.
BroadNet builds out the footprint that makes it the regional default — offices, operator agreements, and regulatory standing across the Middle East and North Africa, with English / Arabic / French operating capability.
200M+ SIM deployments lifetime; 1,000+ direct operator links.
Cumulative SIM and eSIM profile deployments cross 200 million. The direct-operator-bind count crosses 1,000 — the largest concentration of operator-direct A2P relationships originating from MENA.
Present-day scale.
300M+ messages a day across A2P SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice, and OTP. Fifteen countries. 60,000+ enterprise clients. Founder-active. Still telecom-native.
Six things we believe, written down.
Not a values poster. Six operating principles we have actually run the company by — and that you should expect to feel in every interaction with us.
Telecom-native, since 2003
Not a fintech that pivoted into messaging. Operators have been buying our infrastructure — and selling it to their subscribers — for twenty-three years.

Founder-active, family-led
Founder Rabih Al Zubaidi still takes MNO-CEO calls. Engineering decisions still go through people who have run the wire themselves.
Built by people who have operated the wire — not pitched it.
Our engineering team has spent collective decades inside MNO core networks. The same people who design BroadNet's SMS firewall have, at various points in their careers, deployed firewalls inside Tier-1 GCC operators, North African mobile operators and multi-market MNO groups across MENA. When you escalate to us, you are not paged into a generalist support tier — you are paged into the person who has, almost certainly, debugged your exact failure mode on the operator side of a bind.
First year of the founder in messaging — four years before BroadNet existed.
Engineering DNA from real MNO core-network deployments, not vendor pitches.
