Founder-active, family-led
Founder & CEO Rabih Al Zubaidi still takes MNO-CEO calls himself. Engineering and commercial decisions run through people who have operated the wire — not a rotating executive layer.
BroadNet is a founder-active, family-led carrier-grade messaging company. Its founder started the business in Beirut, Lebanon in 2003 and has led it ever since — building an operator-direct network that reaches 200+ countries through 1,000+ direct connections, without changing the thesis or handing the wire to a rotating executive layer.
“We are thrilled to join forces with e& Egypt to shape the future of telecommunications with AI-driven messaging solutions.”
Rabih Al Zubaidi founded BroadNet Technologies in Beirut, Lebanon in 2003 — a small team, a single SMSC, and a bet that Gulf operators would need a serious A2P partner long before the rest of the world caught up. He has led the company as Founder & CEO every year since.
Under his leadership BroadNet grew from that first gateway into a carrier-grade messaging network: A2P SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice and OTP delivered to 200+ countries, direct to the operator in 86, through 1,000+ operator connections, with SS7 and SMS firewalls deployed inside mobile-operator core networks. Today the company serves 60,000+ enterprises — from regional banks to global brands — from fifteen offices across fifteen countries.
He remains founder-active and hands-on: the same person who founded the company still takes MNO-CEO calls, and the business stays family-led and telecom-native rather than handed to a rotating executive layer. For his on-record commentary on partnerships and industry direction, see the press page.
BroadNet has no rotating C-suite to point at — it has a founder who still runs the company he built, and a leadership ethos written into how the business operates rather than onto a values poster.

BroadNet Technologies Sarl was founded in Beirut in 2003 and is headquartered in Dubai, UAE — telecom-native from the first SMSC, not a fintech that pivoted into messaging.
A single network operated from fifteen offices across fifteen countries, with support that follows the sun from UTC-5 to UTC+8 — one continuous thesis, held for over two decades.
Leadership holds the company to independently audited standards — ISO 27001, ISO 27018, ISO 9001 and ISO 22301, a SOC 2 Type II report, and GDPR compliance. Trust is a document, not a claim.
Four checkpoints from the arc Rabih Al Zubaidi has led — from founding to the network live today.
Rabih Al Zubaidi founds BroadNet Technologies Sarl in Beirut, Lebanon, focused on MENA messaging infrastructure — SMSC, SMPP, and operator-facing A2P from day one.
The first direct SMPP and SS7 interconnects with MENA mobile network operators go live — replacing third-party transit and giving BroadNet carrier-grade reach across the Gulf and the Levant.
200+ countries reached through 1,000+ direct operator connections, serving 60,000+ enterprise clients from fifteen offices across fifteen countries. Still founder-active. Still telecom-native.
Carrier-grade trust is a document, not a slogan. BroadNet's infrastructure is certified to ISO 27001, ISO 27018, ISO 9001 and ISO 22301, with a SOC 2 Type II report and GDPR compliance.
