About the role
Messaging regulation is the work that quietly wins or loses contracts. You'll own the relationship with regulators across MENA, file the licenses, comment on draft consultations, and translate policy into product requirements.
What you'll work on
- Regulator relationships. TDRA (UAE), CITC (KSA), NTRA (Egypt), ARCEP (Lebanon), ARN (Tunisia), and counterparts in the wider region.
- Licensing. A2P / sender-ID / cross-border message licenses across 10+ jurisdictions.
- Consultations. Public consultations on SMS, RCS, OTT — we contribute substantively to most.
- Product input. Sit in product reviews; flag where the roadmap collides with policy.
The team
You'll lead a two-person compliance pod (Dubai + Cairo), reporting to the COO. Tight collaboration with engineering and the operator-facing product team.
What we're looking for
- 7+ years in telecom regulatory affairs — operator, vendor or regulator side.
- Hands-on experience filing or reviewing A2P / messaging licenses in at least three MENA jurisdictions.
- Native or fluent Arabic; fluent English. French strongly preferred.
- Comfortable presenting to senior regulators — Director General level and above.
Nice to have
- Law degree or formal telecom-policy credential.
- Prior in-house at a Tier-1 MNO.
- Published regulatory commentary we can read.
Real human review within 24 hours. Five-step process. No ghosting.
