Everything worth knowing, nothing that isn't.
How does a WhatsApp Flow work?
The business designs a Flow as a set of screens built from components such as text inputs, dropdowns, date pickers, radio buttons and checkboxes, defined in Flow JSON and published from WhatsApp Manager or through Meta's Flows API. The customer opens it from a button on a message, steps through the screens and submits. The answers arrive at the business's webhook as a structured reply, ready to write into a CRM or a booking system.
How is a WhatsApp Flow sent?
A Flow is attached to a message as a call-to-action button. Outside the 24-hour customer service window it is sent inside an approved template message; inside the window it can also be sent as an interactive message. Charges follow WhatsApp's normal pricing for the message that carries the Flow.
Can a WhatsApp Flow use live data?
Yes. A static Flow ships all of its options up front. A Flow with a data endpoint calls the business's server between screens — to show available appointment slots, check stock or validate an entry — and the payloads exchanged between WhatsApp and that endpoint are encrypted.
What are WhatsApp Flows used for?
Lead qualification, appointment and table bookings, insurance quotes, account-opening steps, delivery rescheduling, surveys and customer feedback. Anything that would otherwise be a back-and-forth of free-text questions fits a Flow better: validated fields, fewer typing errors and data that arrives already structured. BroadNet is an official Meta Business Solution Provider and sets Flows up as part of WhatsApp Business API onboarding.
