Everything worth knowing, nothing that isn't.
Notify at each milestone
Map SMS to the moments that matter: confirmation, dispatch, out-for-delivery, delivered, and failed-delivery. Each is a discrete transactional message the customer expects, so engagement stays high and opt-outs stay low.
Tracking links done safely
A tracking link is useful but link-bearing texts resemble smishing. Send from a registered, recognizable sender ID and use a consistent branded domain so customers can trust the link. See /answers/what-is-smishing and /answers/how-to-register-sender-id.
Make it two-way
Let customers reply to reschedule a delivery or leave drop-off instructions, and feed responses back to your logistics system with two-way SMS. See /products/two-way-sms.
Upgrade rich updates to RCS or WhatsApp
Where the channel is available, RCS or WhatsApp can carry a branded card with a live map, product image and buttons — richer than SMS while SMS stays the universal fallback. See /answers/what-is-rcs-business-messaging and /products/omnichannel.
