ISO 9001 — quality management.

Last updated · April 18, 2026Maintained by · Trust & ComplianceDocument · /trust/iso-9001

Overview

ISO 9001 is the international standard for a Quality Management System (QMS). It defines how an organisation consistently meets customer and regulatory requirements and improves over time. BroadNet holds ISO 9001 certification.

§01

What the standard is

ISO 9001:2015 sets out the requirements for a QMS built on seven principles — customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, a process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision-making, and relationship management. It follows the Plan-Do-Check-Act model and embeds risk-based thinking, so quality is managed as a repeatable, measurable process rather than left to individual effort. Certification is granted by an accredited registrar and maintained through annual surveillance audits on a three-year cycle.

§02

Why it matters to an enterprise buyer

ISO 9001 tells a buyer that delivery quality, change control, and customer-complaint handling are governed by an audited system — which is what underpins predictable SLAs and support.

  • Consistent, documented processes for designing, delivering, and supporting the service.
  • Defined corrective-action and continual-improvement loops when something goes wrong.
  • Measured customer-satisfaction and quality-objective tracking.
  • Independent surveillance keeps the system honest between full audits.
§03
