roadNet exhibited at Seamless Middle East 2026, held from 22 to 24 September at the Dubai World Trade Centre, at Booth #L70. The event joins Seamless Fintech ME with Seamless Digital Commerce ME, so the visitors were banks, fintechs, payment providers, merchants and retailers. Our focus was conversational AI: what should happen after a customer replies to a message. We showed how BroadNet AI answers questions on WhatsApp Business, SMS and web chat from a company's own information, connects to business systems through APIs and hands complex or sensitive cases to a person with the full context.

Key takeaways

  • Event: Seamless Middle East 2026, Dubai World Trade Centre, 22–24 September 2026, Booth #L70.
  • Audience: fintech and payments teams, with a co-located digital commerce audience of merchants and retailers.
  • Theme: the customer's reply. Messages start conversations; the next answer decides whether the journey moves forward.
  • Approach: understand the question, answer on the channel the customer chose, connect the conversation to the business, and know when to involve a person.
  • Channels: WhatsApp Business, SMS and web chat on one omnichannel platform.

Why does the reply matter more than the send?

A customer sees a service update, has a question and replies. For a bank, a fintech or a merchant the details differ, but the moment is the same: the next message has to understand what was asked, give a useful answer or bring in the right person. That is where conversational AI earns its place in business communication.

Every touchpoint in a digital journey carries weight. A one-time password has to arrive instantly. A payment confirmation has to build confidence. A delivery update has to remove uncertainty, and a service alert has to be clear, timely and trusted. Each of those messages can trigger a reply, and the reply is where many journeys still stall.

How BroadNet approaches a customer conversation

  1. Understand the question. Conversational AI handles common enquiries in chat, drawing on the business's own approved information to give relevant answers rather than scripted replies.
  2. Continue on familiar channels. WhatsApp Business, SMS and web chat let customers reach a company where they already are, and omnichannel routing keeps the conversation connected when they switch.
  3. Connect communication to the business. CPaaS and messaging APIs bring the conversation into the company's applications, CRM and workflows, so the answer can reflect a real order, account or booking.
  4. Know when to involve a person. AI takes the routine requests and passes sensitive or complex questions to a human team together with the conversation's history, so the customer never has to start again.

We cover that last step in depth in AI chatbots and the hybrid future of customer conversations.

What does this look like in practice?

Take a customer who receives a service update and asks what it means. A clear answer can come straight from the AI on WhatsApp, in the customer's language. If the question needs more attention, for example a disputed transaction or an account change, the conversation moves to a specialist who sees everything already said. The customer experiences one conversation, not a chain of disconnected channels.

For payments and banking teams the same platform carries the transactional side: OTP delivery, transaction alerts and payment confirmations, alongside the conversational layer. Our banking and finance and e-commerce and retail pages show how those journeys fit together.

What happens next

With the event concluded, the question we brought to Booth #L70 still applies to every fintech, payments and digital commerce team: when your customer replies, what happens next? If you want to see conversational AI working on your own channels and data, talk to the team. Our next stop is the Middle East 2026 GCCM & SIS Summit in Muscat, 1–4 November.

Frequently asked questions

When and where was Seamless Middle East 2026?

Seamless Middle East 2026 took place from 22 to 24 September 2026 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. BroadNet exhibited at Booth #L70, within the Seamless Fintech ME and Seamless Digital Commerce ME programme.

What did BroadNet show at Seamless Middle East 2026?

Conversational AI for customer messaging, together with omnichannel communication, WhatsApp Business and CPaaS APIs, aimed at fintech, payments, retail and e-commerce businesses.

What is conversational AI in customer messaging?

It is AI that understands what a customer writes, answers from the business's own information and continues the conversation, instead of sending fixed automatic replies. It can work in chat channels such as WhatsApp, SMS and web chat.

Can an AI assistant answer customers on WhatsApp?

Yes. A business assistant can be connected to the WhatsApp Business Platform so customers get answers inside WhatsApp. BroadNet is an official Meta Business Solution Provider and connects BroadNet AI to WhatsApp Business directly.

When should an AI assistant hand a conversation to a person?

When the answer is uncertain, the request is sensitive or complex, human approval is required, or the customer asks for a representative. The handover should carry the conversation's context so the customer does not have to repeat anything.

How can I see BroadNet's conversational AI on my own channels?

Request a demo through the BroadNet contact page. The team can show the assistant on your channels with your own content.
