What is PDD (Post-Dial Delay)?
PDD (Post-Dial Delay) is the time between the moment a call is initiated — a caller finishing dialing, or a system placing a call — and the moment ringing is heard or the call connects. High PDD, usually caused by long signaling paths or route-hunting across multiple carriers, makes callers hang up before connection and is a classic symptom of low-quality wholesale voice routes.
