BroadNet's Excel plugin turns any column of phone numbers into a verified, operator-direct A2P SMS send. HLR validation, merge fields, scheduled jobs, and DLRs back to the same sheet. No developer required.

What it does

## Six features. Zero scripts.

### Send A2P SMS from a column

Select the column of MSISDNs, write the message template once, and the plugin queues a verified A2P send through BroadNet's operator-direct routes. Sender ID + opt-out handling built in.

### Inline HLR lookup

Validate every number before sending. The plugin runs HLR queries in batches of 1,000, returns operator + portability data per row, and lets you filter out dead numbers in one step.

### Mail-merge with merge fields

Standard {{first_name}} / {{order_id}} / {{otp}} variables drawn from named columns. Plain-text template; preview each rendered message before the send goes out.

### DLR back to the same sheet

Delivery receipts flow into the adjacent column with a per-row status (delivered, undelivered, rejected) and the operator-side timestamp. Pivot tables, conditional formatting, the rest of the Excel toolkit just work.

### Compliance + audit

Each send logs the user, the timestamp, the sender ID, the recipient set and the rendered template. Same audit trail as the API surface — ready for regulator review.

### Saved jobs + scheduling

Save a workbook as a recurring job. The plugin runs it at a scheduled time, reuses the same template, and posts the DLR back to your sheet when complete.

How it works

## From spreadsheet to delivery in four steps.

1. 1. Install the add-in Available on Microsoft 365 (Excel for Windows, Mac, web). Ask sales for the manifest; admin-pushable via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
2. 2. Sign in with your BroadNet API key Once. Encrypted in Microsoft's add-in secure-storage and revocable any time from the dashboard.
3. 3. Map your columns Pick the MSISDN column, the merge-field columns, and the destination DLR column. The plugin auto-detects E.164 vs national format and normalises.
4. 4. Send or schedule Send now or save the workbook as a recurring job. The plugin shows a per-row progress bar and writes the DLR back into your sheet as receipts arrive.

## Same compliance, easier surface.

Excel users hit the same compliance walls as API users — TDRA sender-ID rules, the AD- prefix on UAE promotional content, GST sending windows, PDPL consent records. The plugin enforces all of it.

Sender ID approved + cached per market

AD- prefix auto-applied where required

Calling/sending window blocked outside policy

PDPL + GDPR consent fields surfaced in the audit log
