# ITW preview: where AI fraud detection actually moves the needle

> Most 'AI firewall' pitches are repackaged rule packs. Here's what real ML in fraud detection looks like — and what we'll be demoing at International Telecoms Week.

Every operator firewall vendor at this year's ITW will use the word 'AI'. Most of them will be selling a rule-pack with two new thresholds. The conversation that actually matters: which signals are being modelled, how the model is updated, and whether the operator's own ground truth feeds the loop.

## What real ML looks like in this space

- Transcript-level classification of inbound A2P — not just sender-ID matching against a static list.
- Per-IMSI / per-IMEI / per-MSISDN behavioural scoring updated nightly on the operator's own labelled data.
- Cross-signal verdicts: CDR + DLR + signalling-edge + content classifier — together, not separately.
- A pin/veto workflow that lets the operator's RA team override the model decision and feed that correction back into tomorrow's retrain.

## What BroadNet brings

Our ML-driven SMS firewall + SIM-box detection stack scores the fraud probability of every message. The continuous-learning loop is the part that moves the needle — operators stop chasing the same patterns every quarter once the model is reading their own network's signal.
