# What is OTP?

> OTP (One-Time Password) is a single-use code sent to a user to verify their identity for login, transaction, or account recovery. OTPs are most commonly delivered via SMS, but also via WhatsApp, email, voice, and authenticator apps. OTP is the most common form of 2FA (two-factor authentication) globally.
