# How do I choose a CPaaS provider?

> Evaluate a CPaaS provider on six dimensions: channel breadth (SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice and email behind one API), route ownership, developer experience (SDKs, test access before you sign, honest docs), reliability SLA, regional depth and compliance, and the support model. A true CPaaS unifies every channel behind one API and one contract instead of forcing a separate integration per channel. BroadNet has operated as a MENA-native CPaaS since 2003, with omnichannel APIs over directly owned carrier routes — see /products/omnichannel.

## 1. Channel breadth behind one API

The value of CPaaS is consolidation: one integration, one identity, one invoice across SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, voice and email. If you would still need three vendors to cover your channels, it is not really a platform. See /answers/what-is-cpaas and /answers/what-is-omnichannel-messaging.

## 2. Route ownership vs reselling

Some CPaaS vendors own operator interconnects; others resell another aggregator's routes with a markup and less control over deliverability. Owned, direct routes mean better delivery, cleaner error data, and accountability when something breaks. See /answers/what-is-grey-route-sms.

## 3. Developer experience

Time-to-first-message is a real cost. Look for maintained SDKs, test credentials you can use against the real API before you sign, clear REST and SMPP references, and webhooks with signed payloads. See /developers and /answers/what-is-sandbox-vs-production.

## 4. Regional depth and compliance

Global averages hide regional gaps. A provider strong in your actual markets — with local sender-ID registration, operator relationships and data-residency options — will outperform a bigger vendor that is thin where you operate. See /regulations.

## 5. Reliability, SLA and support

Get the uptime SLA, the throughput ceiling, the route-failover behaviour, and the support responsiveness in writing. BroadNet publishes a 99.99% platform SLA with automatic route failover. See /answers/what-is-route-failover.
